Your Time To Talk

Counselling | Relationship and sex therapy

“Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come. Remember everything you have faced, all the battles you have won, and all the fears you have overcome.” - Unknown

What do you need?

Whatever you need from me – counselling, longer-term psychotherapy or psychosexual (sex) therapy – we’ll explore your difficulties together, in total confidence.

As well as listening to you without judgement, I’ll work with you to understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and support you in changing them if you want to. If you’re experiencing relationship or sexual difficulties, I’ll guide you in resolving these issues. There are also exercises and other resources that can help.

I’m a fully qualified, experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. I’m also a psychosexual (sex) therapist. As well as working in private practice in the Redhill / Reigate area, I work for Relate as a relationship and psychosexual therapist.

Individual counselling

We all find life hard to cope with at times.

Whatever you’re experiencing, counselling can help you make sense of your feelings, and understand yourself and your life better. In time, you will feel more confident and in control, and find a way forward.

I will support you in working through the issues that are troubling you, for example:

Bereavement and grief

Decluttering / hoarding

Emotional, physical and sexual abuse

Low self-confidence and self-esteem

Separation and divorce

Stress, including school, university and work-related stress

Relationship therapy

Strong, positive relationships contribute to a long, healthy and happy life. But what if things aren’t going so well? Couple’s counselling will help you make sense of what’s going on. I’ll give you both equal time, understanding and attention, and support you through what can be a challenging and emotional process.

People come to me for help with many different relationship problems, including:

Affairs and infidelity

Arguments and conflict

Betrayal or deceit

Children / family

Coping with a crisis

Lost connection

Poor communication

Relationship breakdowns

Sexual concerns

Psychosexual therapy

Psychosexual therapy is beneficial when there’s a psychological or emotional reason for a sexual issue rather than, or perhaps as well as, a physical or medical reason.

Whether you’re single or in a relationship, monogamous or polyamorous, whatever your gender or sexual identity, psychosexual therapy can help you with most sexual issues, including:

Erectile disorders

Exploring BDSM and kink

Gender dysphoria and transition

Inability to orgasm (anorgasmia)

Inability to have penetrative sex (vaginismus)

Lack of desire or arousal

Painful sex (dyspareunia)

Rapid or delayed ejaculation

Retarded (inhibited) ejaculation

Sexual orientation
